ARMA Vancouver Chapter is pleased to Announce the 2018 First Nations RIM Symposium
Sunday, May 27, 2018, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Hyatt Regency Hotel, Vancouver, BC
Registration fee: $175 for ARMA members, $200 for non-members, and $225 at the door
Please be advised:
If you are planning to attend the full Conference, the Early Bird registration discounts will end on April 30th, 2018.
This year the Symposium Planning team has partnered with the ARMA Canada Conference to provide this Symposium (pre-conference) session. It is anticipated that this smaller group setting will allow attendees to engage fully in a dialogue with colleagues and panel of practitioners, rather than listening to lectures.
The Symposium will be centered around these four themes:
- Lifecycle, retention, and the language of Information Management (with a brief introduction to the FNPSS First Nations RIM Toolkit);
- Transitioning to self-government and the implications for Information Management;
- Digitization of Traditional Knowledge; and,
- Tools for Information Management and how to assess them.
The sessions will be guided by a panel of practitioners, all of whom have experience and expertise related to our discussion themes. Panel members will share their own experiences and provide advice on how to address the challenges you may be facing in your organization.
ARMA wants to hear from you! Attendees can send in questions and examples of real-world scenarios from your organizations with the goal of focusing the day on items you want to discuss.
Please email your questions/scenarios to Indri Pasaribu (from the First Nations Summit & ARMA Vancouver) at email@example.com. Indri will forward your questions to the panelists. If you wish to remain anonymous, please let Indri know.
