Workshop Description
Strategic Planning in First Nation communities is an essential component of community development. Set your vision plan to participate with three elective group options of setting a pathway based upon health, economics or housing. Learn also, how to engage the right people within the community.
Understand resources required to make your strategic plan a reality. Capacity building funding and other requirements will then be built into the initial group process.
Learn what key performance indicators are with a strategic plan by measuring progress on a strategic vision. This will allow participants to show progress to the community and monitor progress.
Learn how to have an effective evaluation and reporting plan to ensure community and stakeholder interests are complete. Engagement is crucial here and required to keep all happening.
Finally, the workshop will cover modifications to a project or component of a community strategic plan.
The workshop is presented with a power point presentation over a two day session.
