Better Communities Through Strong Leadership.
The core of AFOA BC’s services revolve around our workshops and conferences. These events provide members with quality professional development, access to the latest tools and information, and invaluable networking opportunities. Further, all events and training are customized to meet the unique needs and perspectives of Aboriginal communities.
84% of all AFOA members have attended AFOA training and 65% have attended a workshop or conference in the last year.
We are proud of our services, and invite you to join us and our members as we move forward!
Registration is now open! Don’t miss the early bird deadline – Feb 8, 2019
The conference will run from 8am – 4pm on March 7th and 8am-12 pm on March 8th
Please join us on Wednesday, March 6th, 2019 at 5pm for our
President’s Reception at the River Rock Resort in Richmond, BC.
AFOA BC has instituted a Band Scholarship program that will provide funding support for two representatives of band administrations that have less than 250 band members living on reserve in BC to attend an AFOA BC conference. This scholarship recognizes the financial support that band council members or employees need at times to attend our events. Funding support will cover travel, accommodations, and conference fees.
